Microsoft 365 Copilot
Ask Microsoft 365 Copilot about your Sendly emails, domains, contacts and campaigns, and add a contact or send an email after you confirm it
The Sendly agent for Microsoft 365 Copilot lets you work in your Sendly account from Copilot chat. It reads your delivery status, sending domains, contacts and campaign results, and it can add a contact or send an email, each after you confirm.
Availability
The agent is submitted through Microsoft Partner Center and is not in the Microsoft store until Microsoft has reviewed and listed it. This page describes what it does and what it can reach, so you can decide before you connect it.
What it can do
| Function | What it does | Changes data |
|---|---|---|
listProjects | Lists your Sendly projects | No |
listRecentEmails | Lists the emails a project sent most recently | No |
getEmailStatus | Gives the delivery status and history of one email | No |
listDomains | Lists sending domains and whether each is verified | No |
listContacts | Lists or searches contacts | No |
listCampaigns | Lists campaigns | No |
getCampaignStats | Gives delivered, opened, clicked and bounced for a campaign | No |
createContact | Adds one contact | Asks first |
sendEmail | Sends one email from a verified sending domain | Asks first |
sendTestEmail | Sends a sandbox test email to the project owner | Asks first |
These are operations of the public OpenAPI document; the agent calls them as you, with the permissions you approve.
Confirmation
Reading never changes anything. The three functions that add a contact or send mail stop and show you the details, such as the recipient and subject, and wait for you to approve. A sandbox test email can only reach the owner of the project, never a customer.
Signing in and permissions
The first time you use the agent, Microsoft 365 Copilot sends you to the Sendly sign-in and consent screen. It uses the same OAuth flow as Sendly's other connected apps, and shows each permission with a sentence saying what it allows.
| Permission | Allows |
|---|---|
projects:read | See your projects and their settings |
emails:read | See the emails you sent and their delivery status |
emails:send | Send emails from your verified domains |
emails:test | Send test emails to your own address from the Sendly sandbox |
domains:read | See your sending domains and their verification status |
contacts:read | See your contacts |
contacts:write | Add and update your contacts |
campaigns:read | See your campaigns and their performance |
Leave emails:send and contacts:write unchecked and the agent can still answer every question; it
only cannot send or add. Disconnect the agent at any time from your Sendly account, and its access
ends.
The agent works on one project at a time. It asks which one when you have several, and never combines data from two projects.
What to ask
- Show my most recent emails and how they were delivered
- Are my sending domains verified?
- How did my latest campaign perform?
- Add maria@example.com as a subscribed contact
Data
The agent sends your questions and Sendly's answers through Microsoft 365 Copilot. What Sendly keeps, and for how long, is in the privacy policy. What Microsoft does with the conversation is covered by your Microsoft 365 agreement.
For developers
The agent package (manifest, declarative agent, plugin and a trimmed OpenAPI file) lives in the
Sendly repository under apps/web/integrations/microsoft-365. If you would rather connect an AI
client directly, use the MCP server.
